Recycling will not be picked up today due to high winds. Please retrieve your bins from the curb. Kind folks have been retrieving flying debris from the neighborhood and placing in the nearest bin, so if you see something in your bin that's not yours, that's why. Recycling pickup will resume next week on Friday. Bin may be placed at the curb after 4 p.m. as usual. Be careful and don't blow away out there.

Trash pickup has been delayed a day, so it would go out on Friday night and be picked up on Saturday morning.

You can feel the excitement building around the holiday season. Many decorations are being put up to celebrate the holidays. You may have even decked the halls of your home but be sure to obey the community rules about outside decorations as given the the Resident Handbook. We adopted a new dryer vent cleaning policy which will be mailed to all residents and will also be posted on our website. We implemented this policy because clogged dryer vents create a significant risk of fire to our community. Under the new rule, all dryer vents must be cleaned by June 1, 2026, and every 2 years thereafter. Please save your receipts to present to our property manager. The company that hosts our website upgraded their program which mandated major changes be made to our website. You will notice changes in the terminology and appearance of some of the pages in the website. One of the most notable changes affected the forum. I don't know why, but all the code for the "forum" was changed to "group". Thus you will see "group" in the menu bar instead of "forum". The code upgrade was automated so while the terminology changed, the content did not.

The Villas at Riverbend Board of Directors are seeking a volunteer to manage the community website. This task includes approving new website accounts, uploading announcements and the monthly newsletter and the maintenance of the online community directory.
