Vendor Recommendations

Hi. A furnace contractor told me that our flex insulated heating and A/C ducts in the attic have a 20 year life expectancy, and are now past their expected life and need to be replaced. Has anyone else been told the same thing? Anyone ever had problems with the ductwork?
